Weiland stated that staff is also recommending an . <br /> additional condition to add a 5 foot trail easement on the south side of 36th Street as part <br /> of the approval. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Schultz, seconded by Councilmember Moratzka to <br /> approve the final plat with the conditions in the Planners report and the additional <br /> condition recommended by staff. <br /> 6 Ayes;Nays,none. <br /> Preliminary Pat—South Pines IV <br /> Planning Director Weiland stated that traffic concerns had been addressed and <br /> that the Planning Commission recommended approval of the preliminary plat at their <br /> August 13, 2001 meeting with the 25 considerations listed in the Planner's August 15, <br /> 2001 report. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Yandrasits, seconded by Councilmember Moratzka to <br /> amend the motion to clarify that the City is not making any commitments regarding <br /> annexation of the 40 acres currently outside the City,but owned by the developer. <br /> 5 Ayes;Nays,none. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Schultz, seconded by Councilmember Moratzka to <br /> approve the preliminary plat with the conditions listed in the Planner's report and as <br /> amended. <br /> 6 Ayes;Nays,none. <br /> Final Plat—Pleasant Valley 11th Addition <br /> Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Moratzka to <br /> approve the final plat as presented. <br /> 6 Ayes;Nays,none. <br /> Appeal of Historic Preservation Commission Decision-402 West 2nd Street <br /> HRA Director Grossman stated that the HPC recommended denial to a request for <br /> a permit for vinyl siding at this address, as that is not an approved material for a <br /> contributing building in the National Register Historic District. The HPC has <br /> recommended maintenance and repair of existing cedar shake siding or the clapboard. <br /> David Storholm stated that the house is being damaged by the gaps in the current <br /> siding. Vinyl siding would only be used if the existing shakes or clapboard could not be <br /> repaired at a reasonable cost. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Yandrasits, seconded by Councilmember Hazlet to <br /> deny the issuance of a building permit for vinyl siding for 402 West 2nd Street. <br /> 6 Ayes;Nays,none. - <br />
