Minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 18, 2003 Page 4 of $ <br /> <br />Resolution--Site Plan #2003-52: Greenlawn Sprinklers 2nd Building (2250 <br />Millard Avenue) <br /> Hinzman stated that the Planning Commission has recommended approval of <br />the site plan, with conditions. Hinzman noted that the applicant currently has <br />out~tanding site maintenance i~ue~ on their current ~ite. <br /> Councilmember Schultz questioned the need for 18 spots when the applicant <br />is only required to install 9 parking spots. <br /> Councilmember Moratzka expressed concern over the landscape plan as well <br />as the current outstanding issues on this site. She questioned whether this approval <br />can be tied to the applicant complying with code violations. City Attorney Moynihan <br />stated that existing code violations are currently being addressed in a civil/criminal <br />forum. <br /> The applicant, Troy Tuerberg, stated that the property in question has been <br />mowed and is currently in compliance. He requested approval of the site plan to <br />keep the project's schedule on track. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Hicks, seconded by Councilmember Riveness to <br />approve the resolution as presented. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br />Copy of resolution on file. <br /> <br />Approve Domestic Preparedness Joint Powers Agreement <br /> Osberg explained that this agreement would allow the City to collaborate with <br />Dakota County and other cities in the county on domestic preparedness issues and <br />to take advantage of available funding for training and other resources. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Moratzka, seconded by Councilmember Riveness <br />to approve the JPA as presented. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br />Copy of resolution on file. <br /> <br />First Reading and Schedule Public Hearing--Ordinance Amendment: Grass <br />and Weeds on Private Property <br /> Osberg explained that there has been a request to consider changing the <br />ordinance to limit the length of grass to 6". Current regulations are 12". <br />Councilmember Yandrasits expressed concern over the possible increased costs in <br />regulating this change. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Moratzka, seconded by Councilmember Riveness <br />to approve the first reading and schedule a public hearing for Tuesday, September 2, <br />2003. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Approve Classification and Compensation Schedule Adjustment <br /> Moved by Councilmember Yandrasits, seconded by Councilmember Hicks to <br />approve the adjustment as presented. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br />Copy of resolution on file. <br /> <br /> <br />
