<br />lIastings,~innesota <br />City Council ~inutes <br />September 17, 2007 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular meeting on <br />Monday, September 17,2007 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at the Hastings City <br />Hall, 101 East 4th Street, Hastings, Minnesota. <br /> <br />~embers Present: Mayor Hicks, City Councilmembers Alongi, Hazlet, Hollenbeck, <br />Schultz, Slavik, and Riveness <br /> <br />~embers Absent: None <br /> <br />Staff Present: City Administrator Dave Osberg <br />Assistant City Administrator Melanie Mesko Lee <br />City Attorney Dan Fluegel <br />Public Works Director Tom Montgomery <br />Finance Director Char Stark <br />Fire Chief Mark Holmes <br /> <br />Approval of ~inutes: <br />Mayor Hicks asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of the regular <br />meeting on September 4,2007. Hearing none, the minutes were approved as presented. <br /> <br />Recognition of Fire Chief Mark lIolmes <br />The Mayor and Council read a proclamation, declaring Friday, September 28, <br />2007 as "Mark Holmes Day" in the City of Hastings. Chief Holmes was presented with <br />a replica firefighter and was thanked for his dedication and years of service. <br /> <br />Proclamation Supporting Kids Day America <br />Mayor Hicks read a proclamation, declaring Saturday, September 22,2007 as <br />"Kids Day America". <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Alongi to <br />approve the Consent Agenda as presented. <br />1. Pay Bills as Audited <br />2. Pay Estimate #4-Project 2007-1: 5lh St Area Improvements: Arcon Construction <br />($447,206.48) <br />3. Final Pay Estimate-2007 Slurry Seal Program: Bergmann Companies ($696.99) <br />4. Pay Estimate # 12-Water Treatment Plant: Magney Construction ($69,497.25) <br />5. Final Pay Estimate-Well Pump #5 Rehabilitation: Keys Well Drilling Company <br />($2,198.25) <br />6. Final Pay Estimate-Pumphouse Construction: Magney Construction ($6,665.55) <br />7.
