<br /> <br />To: <br />From: <br />Date: <br />Re: <br /> <br />Mayor Hicks and City Council members <br />Melanie Mesko Lee, Assistant City Administrator/City Clerk <br />May 21, 2007 <br />Liquor License Amendment Request for October 12 and 13, <br />2007 for the American Legion <br /> <br />Requested Action <br />A motion to approve the attached resolution, approving a request to approve a temporary <br />liquor license to the American Legion for October 12 and 13,2007, contingent upon all <br />requirements being met. <br /> <br />Back2:round <br />Attached is a request from the American Legion for an amendment to the Legion's 3.2% <br />beer licenses for October 12 and 13,2007. The amendment is to allow the sale of beer in <br />a temporary site (in this case on grassy area on east side of building), on the same <br />property adjacent to the permanent structure. Organizations are limited to three such <br />permits in a twelve month period. <br /> <br />No alcohol will be allowed outside of either the permanent or temporary site. Staff is <br />awaiting Proof of Insurance from the Legion's insurance agent for the temporary beer <br />sales. The Legion will work with both the Fire and Police Departments for fmal approval <br />of safety issues. <br /> <br />Should this request be approved, the request will be part of the Legion's liquor license <br />file and notification will be sent to the State Liquor Control Board. The City Council has <br />approved similar requests in the last few years. If you have any questions, please let me <br />know. <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />1.
