PHASE RESPONSE ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />The following further describes activities suggested during the Response Phases. <br /> <br />City of Hastings Response under WHO Phase 1 <br /> <br />· Educate employees on current pandemic flu information <br />· Assist the Dakota County Health Department in educating residents and <br />businesses. <br />· Contact local agencies and media to coordinate information releases <br />· Review alternative staffing options and cross training required <br />· Prepare individual department response plans <br /> <br />City of Hastings Response under WHO Phase 2 <br /> <br />· Encourage residents and employees to stock emergency supplies at their <br />residences. <br />· Check city's emergency and essential supplies. <br />· Provide detailed infonnation to employees on hygiene policies. <br />· Fully stock PPE for employees. <br />· Complete Product and Service Providers Forms (Attachment 5). <br /> <br />City of Hastings Response under WHO Phase 3 <br /> <br />· Advise employees of standby status <br />· Develop briefing method for all employees to keep them informed. <br />· Contact Minnesota Department of Health to coordinate news briefings. <br />· Explore sick leave policy modifications. <br />· Cancel employee leave and vacations. <br />· Check with current outside vendors to check on their preparedness. <br /> <br />City of Hastings Response under WHO Phase 4 <br /> <br />· Brief all employees daily on new information. <br />· Contact HESM to request an emergency declaration. <br />· Provide daily reports to the Dakota County DEM. <br />· Limit person to person contact. <br />· Cancel or reschedule meetings when possible. <br />· Use teleconferencing in place of meetings. <br />· Enforce strict hygiene policies within the workplace. <br />· Activate the EOC if needed. <br />· Cancel public activities and gatherings when feasible. <br /> <br />Pandemic lrifluenza Continuity qfOpcrations Plan <br /> <br />7. <br />
