From: <br />Date: <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Council <br />John Grossman, HPC <br />May 21, 2003 <br />Order Public Hearing for July 7, 2003 <br /> <br />. As part of their on-going preservation program., the HPC has research done on <br />'properties, outside of existing historic districts, for consideration as potential <br />Heritage Preservation Sites. <br /> <br />At their last-meeting the Heritage Preservation Commission reviewed a <br />~omination prepared for 602 W. Seventh St. The voted to begin the nomination <br />process to designate the property as a local Heritage Preservation Site. <br /> <br />The nomination form .is attached. Additional material will be presented at a later <br />date. <br /> <br />The process Includes review by the State Historic Preservation Office and the <br />. City Planning Commission. The reviews should be done before the Council <br />Meeting of July 7th. <br /> <br />The HPC will not consider a formal recåmmendation to Council until June 17. <br />The property owner and neighbors will have an opportunity to speak at that <br />meeting. However, the process also includes a public heåring by the Council that <br />has to be published on June 12th, 20 days prior to the meeting. <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />A.ction: Please ord~r the public hearing on the designation of 50.2 W.
