<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 2, 2003 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />Public Hearing-Excess Property at Highway 316 in Marshan Township <br />Mayor Werner opened the public hearing at 7:02 p.m. Hearing no <br />comments, the public hearing was closed at 7:02 p.m. <br /> <br />Second Reading-Excess Property at Highway 316 in Marshan Township <br />Moved by Councilmember Moratzka, seconded by Councilmember <br />Yandrasits to approve the action as presented. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Presentation-Mississippi River Clean-Up . <br />Anne Hunt provided some information to the Council about the 2003 <br />Mississippi River Clean-Up, which will have its kick-off on June 14,2003 at Jaycee <br />Park. Volunteers are encouraged to call 651-739-1127 or go to <br />www.rivercleanup.orq. <br /> <br />Resolution-Minor Subdivision: 300 West 33rd Street (D&L Inns of Hastings) <br />Planning Director Hinzman provided background information on this <br />request, including the Planning Commission's recommendation that the request <br />be denied as the parcel to be created would be largely unbuildable. Leon Fisher, <br />the property qwner, provided some background on the issue and the reason for <br />the request. City Attorney Moynihan stated that the legal aspects of this property <br />may not be resolved until the end of 2003 and that there remain concerns with fire <br />separation on the encroachment wall. <br />Moved by Councilmember Moratzka, seconded by Councilmember Hazlet to <br />deny the request for a minor subdivision with the findings of fact as approved by <br />the Planning Commission. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />First Reading and Order Public Hearing-Ordinance Amendments to Chapters <br />10.23-10.24, Relating to Industrial Park Uses <br />Moved by Councilmember Hazlet, seconded by Councilmember Riveness to <br />table this issue to the Planning Committee of the Council for further discussion. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Glendale Heights Traffic Evaluation <br />Moved by Councilmember Yandrasits, seconded by Councilmember <br />Moratzka to proceed with the project as planned. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Presentation of 2002 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and Audit Report <br />Report accepted by the City Council. <br /> <br />- r <br />
