Tom Montgomery Public <br />Works Director reviewed the City has improved booster stations, increased pumping capacity of <br />Wells No.3 & 4, constructed a new elevated tower and replaced the ground storage tank on Highway <br />55. Mr. Montgomery outlined outstanding issues for remaining Well No.1. <br />City Council vote on Resolution No. 10-19-98: 6 Ayes; Nays, None. <br /> <br />Award Contract-Booster Pump Station & Pump House Improvements <br />Resolution No. 10-20-98, Receiving Bids and Awarding Contract for the Booster Station and <br />Well Pumphouse Improvements <br />Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Yandrasits, to approve <br />Resolution No. 10-20-98, Receiving Bids and Awarding Contract for the Booster Station and Well <br />Pumphouse Improvements. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, None. Copy of resolution on file. <br /> <br />Selection of Audit Firm for 1998, 1999 & 2000 Financial Audit <br />Finance Director Lori Webster introduced the request. Councilmember Moratzka clarified <br />the Finance Committee recommended the previous Auditors not be invited to bid in order to turn the <br />contract over to allow switching auditors every six years. Councilmember Riveness questioned <br />whether a three year term is a typical term for auditor contracts. Finance Director Lori Webster <br />stated although contract terms vary, most cities retain auditors for more than one year. <br />Moved by Councilmember Moratzka, seconded by Councilmember Simacek, to authorize <br />a three year contract with Kern, Dewenter, Viere, Ltd. For audit services. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, None. <br /> <br />Approve Aquatic Center Manager Position Description and Authorize Advertisement for <br />Applicants <br />Moved by Councilmember Johnson, seconded by Councilmember Moratzka, to approve the <br />position description for the position of Aquatic Center Manager and to authorize the advertisement <br />for applicants. Councilmember Riveness requested advertising in the Pioneer Press Paper. <br />Councilmember Riveness inquired what the position would be involved with during winter months. <br />City Administrator Dave Osberg stated the position will be involved with pool policy and procedures <br />development until January 2000, after the 2000 swimming season, the position would be reviewed <br />to determine full-time status and/or the possibility of reassignment to other positions during certain <br />times during the year. <br />City Council vote on Aquatic Center Manager Position Description & Authorization for <br />Advertisement for Applications: 6 Ayes; Nays, None <br />
