HousingjBuilding Inspector <br />7 Ayes; Nays, None. <br /> <br />Interim Assignment as Community Development Director <br />Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Yandrasits, to approve <br />the temporary appointment of Matt Weiland to the position of Interim Community Development <br />Director and authorizing adjustment in compensation by an amount of$500.00 per month, <br />effective September 14, 1998. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, None. <br /> <br />Concessions and Vending Request for Proposal <br />Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Moratzka, to begin <br />preparation of a request for proposals for all interested private parties to provide for concession <br />and vending services at the Aquatic Center and the Civic Arena for the 1999/2000 season. <br />Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Moratzka, to provide a <br />friendly amendment to the motion to table the issue to the Park and Recreation Committee of the <br />Council to define the scope of the RFP and to determine appropriate leasing, franchising, or <br />concession sale and vending opportunities to be included within the proposal. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, None. <br /> <br />Insurance Services Request For Proposal <br />Moved by Councilmember Yandrasits, seconded by Councilmember Hicks, to continue <br />with the City's Agent of Record, the David Agency, Dave Dotson, to provide services for <br />Property and Casualty Insurance and Worker's Compensation, and to direct the Administrative <br />Committee to establish a method and schedule for determining the agents of record for the City's <br />casualty insurance and workers' compensation insurance. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, None. <br /> <br />Solid Waste Collection Holiday Schedule <br />Mayor Werner left the meeting at 8: 10 p.m., Councilmember Hicks presided as Acting <br />Mayor for the remainder of the meeting. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Simacek, seconded by Councilmember Riveness, to approve a <br />Resolution authorizing a collection of residential solid waste on certain holidays. <br />Moved by Councilmember Simacek, seconded by Councilmember Johnson, to table for <br />clarification the proposed change for collection of residential solid waste on certain holidays. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, None. <br />
