<br />SECTION 9.21. DOG REGULATIONS AND LICENSES. <br /> <br />SUBD. 1. RUNNING AT LARGE PROHIBITED. It is unlawful for any person who is the <br />owner, or other person in possession of a dog to permit such dog to run at large; provided, that <br />such dog shall not be deemed to be running at large, as follows: <br />A. LICENSE REQUIRED. APPLICATION. Application for a dog license shall be upon a form supplied by <br />the City containing a certificate by a veterinarian, duly licensed to practice veterinary medicine <br />within the State of Minnesota, which certificate shall state that the dog for which application for a <br />license is made. has been inoculated against rabies for at least the period for which a license is <br />applied. <br /> <br />sueD. 4. LICENSE TERM AND FEE. All dog licenses shall expire on June 30tR July 31st <br />of each year following issuance of the license. All licensed dogs shall wear a collar and have a tag firmly <br />affixed thereto evidencing such license for the current year. <br /> <br />City of Hastings" <br />Dog Licensing Requirements <br /> <br />Dog Licenses are Required <br />The City of Hastings requires that all dogs over the age of six months be licensed <br />(Section 9.21). City licenses run from AYgust 1 to July 31 annually. Annual <br />license fees are $6.00 for a spayed/neutered dog and $10.00 for dogs which are <br />not spayed/neutered. Proof of updated rabies vaccination must be provided <br />before a license will be issued. You may apply for a dog license on-line or via <br />mail. Once the paperwork and fees have been received and processed, a valid <br />license will be sent to you. <br /> <br />City residents are limited to three dogs or cats or any combination. <br /> <br />Licensed dogs that are caught will be attempted to be reunited with their <br />owner(s). A $30.00 capture fee is charged, plus $10.00 per day kennel fees (as <br />
