Rental/Ownership language proposed by the applicant be added <br />. 18 trees will be added at the park side of property <br />5 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Site Plan #2003-44 Extension Request-Williams 1st Addition 30-Unite Building <br />(Whispering Lane) <br />Moved by Councilmember Hicks, seconded by Council member Schultz to <br />deny the request for an extension <br />5 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Request for Park Dedication Fee Reduction-David Vanney, Attorney for <br />Advanced Homes (Riverwood 8th Addition) <br />David Vanney proposed that the park dedication fees should be reduced. He <br />stated that the previous fee schedule, which was recently amended, calls for a park <br />dedication fee of $137,088. The recently amended fee schedule call for a park <br />dedication fee of $86,394. Vanney contended that, under state regulations, his <br />client's park dedication obligation should only be $43,000, but that his client is willing <br />to pay $86,394. . <br />Councilmember Schultz expressed frustration with developers' requests for <br />park dedication fee reductions when the City continues to receive requests for park <br />development. <br />Councilmember Moratzka stated that all developers were notified of the <br />proposed fee increases and thus built those fees into their construction costs. She <br />expressed concern that if the developer is charged less park dedication fees, then <br />those fee reductions will not be passed along to the consumer. She stated reluctant <br />support for the request. <br />Councilmember Hicks stated that the Council's action in reducing the park <br />dedication fee structure was an acknowledgment that the fees were too high and that <br />the current structure is in compliance with state law. <br />
