<br />r <br /> <br />~ <br />m <br />o <br />m <br />m <br />~ <br /> <br />~~! <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Hastings, Minnesota <br />March IS, 1982 <br /> <br />115 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular <br />meeting on Monday, March 15, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the <br />City Hall. <br /> <br />Members present: Councilmen Legler, Kulzer, Trautmann, Karnick, Trutna, <br />Klimek, Bond and Mayor Stoffel. <br /> <br />Members absent: Councilman Pike. <br /> <br />The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of the <br />meeting of March 1, 1982 and hearing none dec~ared the minutes approved as presented. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman <br />Trutna to deny the front setback variance as requested by The <br />Gift Tree at 1266 Hwy 55 per the Planning Committee of the <br />Council and the Planning Commission's recommendation. Ayes, 7; <br />Nayes, none. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman <br />Klimek to approve the Home Occupation Permit for a saw sharpen- <br />ing business in the basement of the home of Fred Partington at <br />805 West 18th Street. Ayes, 7; Nayes, none. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman <br />Trutna to approve the Special Use Permit and Zero Lot Line Set- <br />back Variance for a twin home in a R-2 District at 1760 Pine <br />Street - Paul Murphy. This would be subject to an easement <br />being granted for private utilities. a minor subdivision prior <br />to occupancy, and that the City shall receive copies of all <br />maintenance and common wall agreements. The <br />motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by Councilman <br />Trutna to adopt the philosphy of the Community Education Budget <br />as presented. The cost share picked up by the <br />City would come out of the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds allotted <br />to the Dutch Elm Program. Ayes, 7; Nayes, none. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Trutna, seconded by Councilman <br />Klimek to award the bid to the Tree House, as the low bidder, <br />in the amount of $7,400.00 for the Spring Tree Sale. Ayes, 7; <br />Nayes, none. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman <br />Bond to take under advisement the Proposal submitted by D. H. <br />Kluender regarding the sale of his 20 acre gravel pit.
