<br />-- <br /> <br />" <br />m <br />o <br />m <br />m <br /><( <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />'.--- <br /> <br />Hastings, Minnesota <br />October 5, 1981 <br /> <br />67 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in <br />a regular meeting on Monday, October 5, 1981 at 7:30 P.M. in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Hall. <br /> <br />Members present: Councilmen Legler, Kulzer, Trautmann, <br />Pike, Karnick, Trutna, Klimek, Bond and <br />Mayor Stoffel. <br /> <br />Members absent: None <br /> <br />The Mayor called for corrections or additions to the minutes <br />of the meeting of September 21, 1981 and hearing none declared the <br />minutes approved as presented. <br /> <br />The public hearing was opened by the PUBLIC HEARING <br />Mayor at 7:31 P.M. to consider how entitlement funds <br />are to be used and the entire budget of the City of <br />Hastings. The legal notices of the hearing were <br />read into the record by the City of Hastings. The <br />legal notices of the hearing were read into the record <br />by the City Administrator. The Mayor asked if anyone <br />wished to speak on the issue. Bob Schommer requested <br />funds for a city baseball team. Mr. Cooper explained <br />the "Lake Isabel Restoration Project for funding to be <br />considered for that project. Everyone w1shing to <br />speak was given the opportunity to do so. The Mayor <br />closed tae hearing at 7:52 P.M. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by <br />Councilman Karnick to approve the variance request <br />by John Majeski at 3rd & Washington Street for a <br />side setback for a garage, per the Planning Commis- <br />sion's recommendation. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Bond, seconded by <br />Councilman Karnick to approve the request for a one <br />year's extent ion for the deadline of filing a final <br />plat for the Rivers Edge Development. Ayes, 8; <br />Nayes, none. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by <br />Councilman Klimek to adopt the Comprehensive Plan <br />for the City of Hastings. Pursuant to the 1976 <br />Metropolitan Land Planning Act. Ayes, 8; Nayes, <br />none. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by <br />Cduncilman Trutna to approve the adoption of the <br />Mississippi River Corridor Area Plan for the City <br />of Hastings. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Trautmann, seconded <br />by Councilman Kulzer to have the Planning Commis- <br />sion review the alley vacation petition for the <br />alley between 12th ~ 13th and Spring and Ashland <br />Streets and schedule a public hearing for the <br />November 2, 1981 Council meeting.
