<br />The City Cmlllcil of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular
<br />meeting on Monday, February 4, 1980 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chanbers of the
<br />Ci ty Hall.
<br />
<br />MaIbers present: Councilmen Trautmann, Trutna, Kulzer, Stoffel,
<br />Shannon, Karnick, Collins, Legler, and Mayor
<br />Petersen.

<br />Marbers absent:

<br />None.
<br />
<br />The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of the
<br />meeting of January 21, 1980 and hearing none declared the minutes approved as
<br />read.

<br />Moved by Councilman Trutna, seconded by Councilman
<br />Kulzer to approve the final plat of Dakota Hills 6th Addition
<br />subject to three conditions, as set forth in the memo fran Paul
<br />Burns, City Planner, dated February 1, 1980. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.
<br />
<br />Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by Councilman
<br />Karnick to hold over until later in the meeting the request
<br />submi tted by Equity Co-op Elevator, for an extension of time
<br />to relocate the 2nd Street repair shop. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.

<br />Kenneth Hoeschen, 1101 W. 15th St. 1st Term.
<br />Edward Scharrs, 1969 wuis Lane, 1st Term.

<br />Moved by Councilman Stoffel, seconded by Councilman
<br />Shannon to reappoint the follawing persons to a three year term
<br />each on the Library Board, beginning on January, 1980. Joseph
<br />Kugler; Tony Willeke; and Marjorie Voelker. Ayes, 8; Nayes~~one.

<br />Moved by Councilman Collins, seconded by Councilman
<br />Trutna to hold over Items 6 & 7 concerning RecD1itment System
<br />and vehicle replacement for the Police Department to the meeting
<br />of February 19, 1980. Ayes, 4; Nayes, Trautmann, Kulzer, Shannon
<br />and Karnick. Being a tie vote the Mayor voted in the affirmative.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />Trutna to pass the third and final reading of Ordinance #8
<br />Second Series granting the Minnesota Gas Company a franchise
<br />to operate in the City of Hastings. Copy of ordinance on file
<br />in Ci ty Administrator's office. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.

<br />Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by Councilman
<br />Shannon to change the Council meeting of February 18th to
<br />February 19, 1980 because of the 18th being a holiday. Ayes, 8;
<br />Nayes, none.
<br />
<br />Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by Councilman
<br />Stoffel to approve resolution #13-80 which supports Denmark
<br />Township's request for reconsideration of the change of address
<br />for Denmark Township fran a Hastings mailing address. Ayes, 8;
<br />Nayes, none. Copy of resolution on file in City offices.

<br />Moved by Councilman Karnick, seconded by Councilman
<br />Trautmann to adopt the resolution authorizing the City Attorney
<br />to start legal proceedings for repair or condemnation of the
<br />railroad building on East Second Street, legally described as
<br />the E~ of Block 16, Tawn of Hastings. Copy of resolution on
<br />file in City offices. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.
