<br /> The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a
<br /> regular meeting on Tuesday, February 22, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
<br /> Chambers of the City Hall.
<br />~ Members Present: Councilmen Karnick, Nesbitt, Klimek, Pike,

<br /> Plan, Kulzer, Trautmann, Werner, and Mayor Stoffel.

<br /> The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes
<br /> of the meeting of February 7, 1983 and hearing none declared the minutes
<br /> approved as presented.
<br /> Moved by Councilman Karnick, seconded by Councilman COMPREHENSIVE PLAN -
<br /> Werner to inform the City of Cottage Grove and the Metro CITY OF COTTAGE GROVE
<br />r-I Council that the City of Hastings has no objection to the
<br />m recently proposed amendments to the Cottage Grove Comprehensive
<br />0 Plan. Ayes, 8; Nayes, None.
<br /> m Moved by Councilman Werner, seconded by Councilman HASTINGS LIBRARY -
<br /> m Klimek to have the City Attorney to draw up a Resolution to RESOLUTION
<br /> <t: the Dakota County Library Board stating Hastings' interest

<br /> Moved by Councilman Pike, seconded by Councilman ORDINANCE - 2ND READIN(
<br /> Kulzer to pass the 2nd Reading of the ordinance amendment NRRC AND PLANNING
<br /> whereby the Planning Commission and Natural Resources and COMMISSION MEMBERS
<br /> Recreation Commission would select their own members with
<br /> ratification by the City Council. Ayes, 7. Naye, Karnick.

<br /> Moved by Councilman Pike, seconded by Councilman LETTER OF INTENT -
<br /> Trautmann that the City of Hastings submit a letter of intent TRANSIT VEHICLE
<br /> to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the purchase
<br /> of a bus from the Duluth Transit Authority. This vehicle if
<br /> purchased will be cost shared with the State on a 90/10 ratio.
<br /> Additional expenditures for items such as seats, striping,logo,
<br /> and other items be done before the vehicle is put into service.

<br /> Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman RESOLUTION NO. 8-83
<br /> Trautmann to adopt Resolution No. 8-83 making clear that funds EAST HASTINGS REHAB
<br /> in the revolving rehab account can be used throughout the PROGRAM
<br /> City of Hastings. Resolution on file. Ayes, 8. Nayes, None.

<br /> Moved by Councilman Werner, seconded by Councilman AUTHORIZE PURCHASE
<br /> Plan to authorize the purchase of one Electro Magic Steam OF STEAMER - <,.t RE t T
<br /> Cleaner for the sum of $2,050. Ayes, 8. Nayes, None.

<br /> Kulzer to bring the Fire Department vehicle request back on DEPARTMENT VEHICLE

<br /> man Werner to hire the firm of Executive Search Inc. to conduct CITY ADMINISTRATOR
<br /> the selection process for the City Administrator position for
