<br />The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in an
<br />adjourned regular meeting on Monday, March 23, 1970 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in
<br />the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
<br />
<br />Members present: Councilmen Soleim, Novak, Hallberg, Christenson,
<br />Fischer, Gunderman and Mayor Rotty.

<br />
<br />The Police Department requested three informal bid proposals for
<br />leasing and/or purchasing three radios for the squad cars. The following bids
<br />were received:

<br />The City may option to pay $112.00 per month lease payments
<br />on above three radios from April 1, 1970 through December 31,
<br />1970 (9 payments). In this event, $98.04 of each payment
<br />will be applicable to purchase.
<br />Interest would be charged at 6% per year for nine months,
<br />or a total interest charge of $125.82.

<br />Moved by Councilman Fischer, seconded by Councilman Gunderman that
<br />the City of Hastings enter into a lease-purchase agreement with Air Comm of
<br />West St. Paul, Minnesota in the amount of $2,796.00 for three (3) radios for
<br />the Police Department squad cars, to be leased by the City from April 1, 1970
<br />to December 31, 1970 according to the option set out in the Air Comm bid,
<br />leaving a balance due at January 1, 1971 of $1,913.64. Ayes, Councilmen
<br />Soleim, Hallberg, Christenson, Fischer and Gunderman; Nays, Councilman Novak.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />Moved by Councilman Soleim, seconded by Councilman Fischer to hire
<br />Donald McPherson as assistant to the City Engineer effective March 18, 1970.
<br />Salary to be paid is $4.00 per hour for the balance of the month of March,
<br />and $700.00 per month effective April 1, 1970. Ayes, all; Nays, none.

<br />Moved by Councilman Soleim, seconded by Councilman Fischer that the
<br />meeting be adjourned. Ayes, all; Nays, none.
