I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />056 <br /> <br />Hastings, Minnesota <br />June, 19, 1985 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a special <br />meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 1985 at 5:40 p.m. in the Council Chambers <br />of the City Hall. <br /> <br />Members Present: Councilmen Bond, Nesbitt, Plan, Berg, Werner, <br />Kulzer and Mayor Stoffel. <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilman Trautmann and Mathiowetz. <br /> <br />City Administrator, Gary E. Brown reviewed with the Council the bids <br />that were received for the construction of the Hydro-electric facility on <br />Lock and Dam No.2; Johnson Brothers Corporation, Richfield, Minnesota <br />Lunda Corporation, Appleton, Wisconsin $7,960,000., Axle Johnson, Engineering, <br />San Francisco, California $7,360,000., Lunda Corporation, Appleton, <br />Wisconsin $7,048,000., and Park Construction Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota <br />$7,391,000. Gary E. Brown then reviewed with the City Council the <br />analysis prepared by James Hanson and Associates of the four bids. He then <br />advised the City Council that he had along with Springsted Incorporated <br />did an analysis of the revenues from the various bids and that it was <br />their recommendation along with Mr. Hanson that the City should award the <br />Hydro-electric facility to Lunda Construction Company. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman Berg to award the <br />Hydro-electric design/construction contract to Lunda Construction Company, <br />P.O. Box 1114, Appleton, Wisconsin 54912-1114. Ayes, 6; Nayes, None. <br /> <br />Moved by <br />at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Nesbitt, seconded by Councilman Bond to adjourn <br />es, None. <br /> <br />
