Hastings Planning Commission <br />Minutes of November 10, 1997 <br /> <br />Commissioner Schommer opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: <br /> <br />Schommer, Flom, Bolesworth, Strauss, Donndelinger and Schultz <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: <br /> <br />Harrington. <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Wozniak and Zoning <br />Administrator Weiland. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br /> <br />Commissioner Schommer called for corrections or changes to the November 10, 1997 meeting <br />minutes. There being no changes or correction the meeting minutes were approved. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Tech Automotive - 2127 Vermillion Street (Magic Touch Carwash) - <br />Special Use Permit: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator, Matt Weiland, present background information related to a special use <br />permit request from Richard King to allow motor vehicle repair and motor vehicle detailing at <br />2127 Vermillion St. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bolesworth moved and Commissioner Flom made a second to recommend <br />approval to the Hastings City Council of a special use permit to allow motor vehicle repair and <br />motor vehicle detailing at 2127 Vermillion Street subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />The applicant must get the necessary building permits to convert the carwash into a repair <br />shop; and <br />The applicant shall make sure the building and site comply with the requirements of the <br />Property Maintenance Code. <br /> <br />Upon vote taken, Ayes, 6; Nays, 0. <br /> <br />Variance - 509 6th St <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator, Matt Weiland, present background information related to a setback <br />variance request from Larry Sanders of 509 W 6th St. <br /> <br />Commissioner Flom moved and Commissioner Donndelinger made a second to approve a 2.8 foot <br />front yard setback variance and a variance to Chapter 10, Section 10.06, Subd. 4 (non- <br />conforming structures); based on the finding that the applicant has satisfied the variance criteria as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
