Hastings Planning Commission <br />Minutes of June 9, 1997 <br /> <br />Commissioner Schommer opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: <br /> <br />Donndelinger, Bolesworth, Schommer, Harrington, Schultz, and <br />Strauss. <br /> <br />Staff Present: Community Development Director Wozniak, City Administrator Osberg & Zoning <br /> Administrator Weiland. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br /> <br />Commissioner Schommer called for corrections or changes to the June 9, 1997 Planning <br />Commission meeting minutes. There being no additions or corrections, the minutes were <br />approved. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: 3050 Vermillion St. - Comp. Plan Amendment/Rezone: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Wozniak presented background information related to this <br />item. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schommer opened the public hearing at 7:15 p.m. Duane Groth of 6850 170th St. <br />(applicant) provided additional background information to the Commission regarding the rational <br />for the requested land use and zoning changes. Todd Langenfeld, owner of 3100 Vermillion St., <br />commented to support the proposed changes and requested that his property be given similar <br />consideration for comprehensive plan land use classification and zoning change. There being no <br />further comments, Commissioner Schommer closed the hearing at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Harrington moved and Commissioner Donndelinger made a second to recommend <br />approval to City Council of a Comprehensive Plan Land Use reclassification of 3050 Vermillion <br />St. from Office to Commercial and a rezoning of the property from Agriculture to C-1 General <br />Commerce. <br /> <br />Upon vote taken, Ayes 6; Nays, 0. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Adjournment: <br /> <br />Commissioner Bolesworth moved and Commissioner Strauss made a second to adjourn the <br />meeting at 7:55 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
