Hastings Planning Commission <br />Minutes of January llth, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Commissioner Schommer called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Schommer, Flom, Donndelinger, Schultz, Anderson, Harrington and Strauss <br />Commissioners Absent: none <br />Staff Present: Acting Community Development Director, Matt Weiland. <br /> <br />2. Minutes: <br /> <br />There being no additions or corrections the minutes of the December 14th, 1998, Regular Planning Commission <br />Meeting were approved. <br /> <br />3. Three Rivers Manufactured Home Park Site Plan - Phase VI <br />Acting Community Development Director, Matt Weiland presented background information on this subject. <br /> <br />Planning Commissioner Discussion <br /> <br />The Planning Commission discussed the road access and parks in the development. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action: <br /> <br />Commissioner Schultz made a motion and Commissioner Donndelinger made a second to make a <br />Recommendation to the City Council to approve the Three Rivers Phase VI Site Plan subject to the items <br />listed below. <br /> <br />The proposed structure and accessory items including, but not limited to streets, utilities and landscaping <br />shall be completed pursuant to the approved site plan. Upon request for occupancy of the building, all <br />uncompleted items contained within the site plan shall be addressed pursuant to city code escrow <br />requirements. <br />In addition to the landscaping proposed along the southern property line, the developer shall plant one <br />Aboulevard@ tree per lot. These trees shall be at least two inches in diameter at the base and the species <br />of the tree should be on the list of approved trees created by the City Forester. This requirement is <br />consistent with what the city has been requiring in other areas. <br />The applicant/developer shall provide the City with as-builts of Phase VI streets and utilities. <br />The applicant shall incorporate the Public Works Director=s conditions as stated in his memo dated <br />1/8/99/ <br /> <br />Upon vote taken, Ayes, 7; Nays, 0. Motion Carried <br /> <br />5. Updates and Other Business: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission voted to elect Dana Schultz the new Planning Chair and Ken Harrington the Vice <br />Chain of the Planning Commission. An announcement was made that there is a vacancy on the Planning <br />Commission and application will be accepted through the end of January. Bob Schommer was thanked for his <br />years of service to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Acting Community Development Director, Matt Weiland informed the Planning Commission about the <br /> <br /> <br />
