Hastings Planning Commission <br />Minutes of August 23rd, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Commissioner Schultz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Flom, Harrington, Schultz, Anderson, Donndelinger and Strauss <br />Commissioners Absent: none <br />Staff Present: City Planner, Matthew Weiland and HRA Director, John Grossman <br /> <br />2. Approve Meeting Minutes of July 12th, 1999 Planning Commission Meeting. <br /> <br />3. Parking Lot Site Plan- Special Tees (1206 N Frontage Rd) <br /> <br />City Planner, Matthew Weiland presented background information on this subject.. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action: <br /> <br />Commissioner Harrington made a motion and Commissioner Flom made a second to recommend <br />approval to City Council the Special Tees eastern Parking Lot site plan subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. The proposed structure and accessory items including, but not limited to, the parking lot and <br /> landscaping shall be completed pursuant to the approved site plan. Upon request for occupancy <br /> of the building, all uncompleted items contained within the site plan shall be addressed pursuant <br /> to city code escrow requirements. <br />2. Modify the landscape plan to add a tree to the eastern side of the parking lot entrance and some <br /> bushes or a hedge to the northern side of the parking lot, subject to approval of the City Planner. <br />3. The applicant will work with the utility company to see if any utilities have to be moved. <br /> <br />Upon vote taken, Ayes, 6; Nays, 0. Motion Carried. <br /> <br />4. Building Expansion Site Plan - Lazersharp (111 W 19th St) <br /> <br />City Planner, Matthew Weiland presented background information on this subject. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Discussion: Commissioner Anderson was concerned about the metal building. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action: <br /> <br />Commissioner Donndelinger made a motion and Commissioner Strauss made a second to <br />recommend a Motion to recommend approval to City Council the Lazersharp building expansion <br />site plan subject to the following conditions: <br />1. The proposed structure and accessory items including, but not limited to, the parking lot and <br /> landscaping shall be completed pursuant to the approved site plan. Upon request for occupancy of <br /> the building, all uncompleted items contained within the site plan shall be addressed pursuant to <br /> city code escrow requirements. <br /> <br />Upon vote taken, Ayes, 6; Nays, 0.
