<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 17, 2001 <br /> <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />v'~ <br />/ <br /> <br />Final Plat-Bohlken's 6th Addition <br />Moved by Councilmember Hazlet, seconded by Councilmember Riveness to approve the <br />final plat as presented. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Site Plan-Forpack (Commerce Drive) <br />Moved by Councilmember Hicks, seconded by Councilmember Yandrasits to approve <br />the site plan as amended. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Site Plan-Hastings Gymnastics Academy (Millard Avenue) <br />Council expressed concern over possible parking problems in the future. They added a <br />condition that any overflow parking for the Hastings Gymnastics Academy to use other private <br />lots, not on-street parking and not at the Veteran's Athletic Complex. Council also directed the <br />Code Committee to review the parking policies at the Industrial Park as a whole. <br />Moved by Councilmember Hicks, seconded by Councilmember Yandrasits to approve <br />the site plan as amended. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Wal-Mart Traffic Study Proposal <br />Planning Director Weiland stated that two proposals had been received in response to the <br />Council's direction at its special meeting of September 10 to order another traffic study of the <br />General Sieben Drive and 4th Street area. SEH in the amount of $5,800 and SRF in the amount <br />of $12,000. There was discussion over who would pay for the costs of this study. Darcy <br />Winter,Wal-Mart representative, stated that Wal-Mart will pay the costs for the study. Public <br />Works Director Tom Montgomery stated that traffic counts will be taken at various times <br />throughout day and night to help determine the peak hours and current traffic patterns. <br />Moved by Councilmember Schultz, seconded by Councilmember Moratzka to award the <br />traffic study proposal to SEH in the amount of $5,800. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Preliminary Plat/Master Plan-Dakota Summit <br />Final Plat-Dakota Summit <br />Site Plan-Wal-Mart <br />Moved by Councilmember Hicks, seconded by Councilmember Yandrasits to table all <br />three items until the traffic study has been completed and the results received by the Council. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br />Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Hicks to adjourn the <br />meeting at 8:37 p.m. <br />7 Ayes; Nays, None. <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />ATTES~!4Jlo <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br />
