Council discussed clarification of square foot limits of stand alone buildings and multi-tenant <br /> buildings,other locations which climate-controlled storage may be permitted if the ordinance was <br /> amended. <br /> Councilmember Balsanek motioned to approve as presented,seconded by Councilmember <br /> Braucks.Ayes 7;Nays 0. <br /> Public Hearing: Geek Grind,LLC Sidewalk Cafe License Application <br /> Flaten discussed Geek Grind's proposed sidewalk cafe and requested Council to hold a public <br /> hearing regarding this item. <br /> The public hearing was opened at 7:16 p.m. <br /> Hearing no comments,the public hearing was closed at 7:17 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Leifeld motioned to approve as presented, seconded by Councilmember Folch. <br /> Ayes 7;Nays 0. <br /> Hastings Police Department Body Camera Audit Report <br /> Schafer discussed the history of the Hastings Police Department Body Camera program,the <br /> purpose for the audit report and the audit report findings. <br /> Council commended the Police Chief and all Police Department staff on the body camera <br /> program implementation.They discussed volume of data generated, officer experience with cameras and <br /> common storage solutions with other Dakota County Law Enforcement agencies. <br /> Councilmember Folch motioned to approve as presented, seconded by Councilmember Vaughan. <br /> Ayes 7;Nays 0. <br /> Mobile Command Vehicle <br /> Schafer introduced Wilske who detailed the need for a mobile command vehicle,the purchase of <br /> a used one from the City of Minneapolis and costs for maintenance and to customize the outside of the <br /> vehicle with the City of Hastings logo. <br /> Council discussion on specialty training needed to drive or operate the vehicle,vehicle storage, <br /> deployment of staff for vehicle use during emergencies and events, future replacement planning, <br /> collecting usage data and technology needs. <br /> Councilmember Vaughan motioned to approve as presented,seconded by Councilmember <br /> Braucks.
