Hastings Planning commission <br />Minutes of March 9, 1992 meeting <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Hastings Planning Commission was called to <br />order by Commissioner Reinardy at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Commissioners Anderson, Bateman, Bolesworth, <br /> Mesaros, Featherstone, Reinardy and Zender <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br /> <br />Staff Present: city Planner Czech <br /> <br />Commissioner Reinardy called for additions or <br />corrections to the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of February 24, 1992. There being no additions <br />or corrections to the minutes, the minutes were <br />approved. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Czech reviewed staffs February 24, 1992 memorandum <br />to the Planning Commission concerning a request by <br />Larry Sanders for approval of a 2.5 foot variance <br />from the interior side setback so he may split two <br />parcels that are currently under one tax <br />identification number. <br /> <br />VARIANCE - <br />509 W. 6TH <br />ST. -SANDERS <br /> <br />The Planning Commission discussed with staff, <br />Larry Sanders the applicant, and Gary Eschen an <br />adjacent property owner at 506 W. 6th Street issues <br />relating to the variance request including, but <br />not limited to, the location of the proposed home on <br />Lot 1, the existing garage, and setbacks for existing <br />structures as well as the proposed home. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zender moved, Commissioner Featherstone <br />made a second, to approve the 2.5 foot variance <br />request based on the finding that the home was built <br />prior to the adoption of the City's Zoning Ordinance <br />and subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />The applicant submit a building permit application <br />and fee prior to approval of the lot split. <br />Furthermore, the applicant must construct the home <br />within one year of submitting a building permit <br />application otherwise the variance approval will <br />become null and void. <br /> <br />2. The applicant shall pay the required park dedication <br /> fee of $600.00. <br /> <br />3. The applicant shall pay the required interceptor <br /> sewer charge of $150.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
