Hastings Planning Commission <br /> Meeting of February 10, 1992 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Hastings Planning Commission was called to order <br />by Commissioner Reinardy at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Anderson, Bateman, Bolesworth, Mesaros and Reinardy <br />Commissioners Absent: Featherstone and Zender <br /> <br />Staff Present: City Planner Czech <br /> <br />Commissioner Reinardy called for additions or <br />corrections to the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of January 27, 1992. There being no additions or <br />corrections to the minutes, the minutes were approved. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Czech reviewed staff's February 3, 1992, memorandum to <br />the Planning Commission concerning a request by <br />Willis Olson and Dakota Motel Corporation for approval <br />of a preliminary/final plat and site plan entitled <br />Dakota Motel 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Commissioner Featherstone joined the meeting at 7:02 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Reinardy opened the public hearing at <br />7:03 p.m. There being no comments from the audience, <br />ihe public hearing was closed. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />PRELIMINARY/ <br />FINAL PLAT & <br />SITE PLAN- <br />DAKOTA MOTEL 2ND <br />ADDITION <br /> <br />The Planning Commission discussed with staff and <br />Charles Klinkhammer who represents Dakota Motel <br />Corporation issues relating to the proposed preliminary/ <br />final plat and site plan including, but not limited to, <br />grading of the property, the undeveloped property <br />fronting Vermillion Street, truck and handicap parking. <br /> <br />Commissioner Featherstone moved, Commissioner Bolesworth <br />made a second, to recommend approval to City Council <br />of the site plan for the Super 8 Motel Addition subject <br />to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. The proposed structure and accessory items including, <br />but not limited to, the parking lot and landscaping <br />shall be completed pursuant to the approved site plan. <br />Upon request for occupancy of the building, all uncompleted <br />items contained within the site plan shall be addressed <br />pursuant to the escrow requirements contained within the <br />site plan review provisions of the city's zoning ordinance <br />(Section 10.24). <br /> <br />2. The south entrance drive shall be designed to the <br />satisfaction and approval of the Public Works Director. <br /> <br /> <br />
