Heritage Preservation Comnussion will meet on Tuesday, October 13' at 7:00 p.m. <br /> • City Council workshop on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on Monday, October 19"' at 5:30 p.m. <br /> • Fire Prevention Week is October 4-10.The Hastings Fire Department is promoting"Serve Up Safety <br /> in the Kitchen"to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep safe. <br /> ■ Never leave cooking food unattended. <br /> ■ Be alert when cooking. <br /> ■ Have a"kids' free zone" of at least 3 feet around the stove. <br /> • The City has created a grant program to provide $5,000 grants to non-profit organizations that can <br /> demonstrate financial hardship due to COVID-19. Priority will go to non-profit organizations that <br /> provide human services or public health services to Hastings residents (such as food delivery, mental <br /> health counseling, community outreach, housing assistance, and economic security). Details will be <br /> posted on our website after the HEDRA meeting this Thursday. <br /> • The Hastings Police Department is participating in the Pink Patch Project from October 1-31.
