<br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PROJECT 2018-2
<br /> RIVERFRONT RENAISSANCE PHASE 3.1
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Project 2018-2, Phase 3.1 of the Riverfront Renaissance,the
<br /> following bids were received on February 15, 2018, and tabulated according to law:

<br /> and
<br /> WHEREAS,the Finance Committee of the City Council met to discuss bids and formulate a final recommended
<br /> course of action to the City Council, and
<br /> WHEREAS,the Committee's recommendation seeks to prioritize removal of aerial utilities from the project
<br /> corridor, and
<br /> WHEREAS, removal of said utilities is possible by following through with construction of the project scope herein
<br /> described by Base Bid +Alternative No. 2, and
<br /> WHEREAS, Global Specialties,of Eagan, MN, has submitted the lowest bid for the project scope herein described
<br /> by Base Bid+Alternative No. 2, and
<br /> WHEREAS, upon review of work experience and reference check, it is apparent that Global Specialties is capable
<br /> and qualified for completing the work in the project scope.
<br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HASTINGS AS FOLLOWS:
<br /> 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Global
<br /> Specialties, Inc. of Eagan, MN.
<br /> 2. The total amount of the contract is hereby declared to be$509,430, in accordance with work scope
<br /> herein described as Base Bid +Alternative No. 2.
<br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HASTINGS, MINNESOTA,THIS 19TH DAY OF MARCH,2018.
