Minutes of Special Meeting of May 1, 2001
Quorum: Sovik-Siemens, Boler, Langenfeld, Craft, Goderstad, Simacek and Thorsen presem;
Smith and Warg absent. Chairman Thorsen called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Awards. Commissioners selected award winners for presentation before Meeting of May 15,
2001.
Downtown building: Second Childhood 212 E Second, Hollenbecks owners, Bathrick's, 208 E
Second, Bob Bathrick owner and Paul Swanstrom the crat~sman.
Keeping at it: Schumachers, 308 W 4th St., McNamaras, 700 W 6th St.
Diamond in the rough: 603 Vermillion, Addison, owner, and Mallette, craftsman, 303 E 5th St.
Hagen, owner and Sydor, craRsman.
Goodstart: 223 W. 7th St. Hansom, owners; 705 Vermillion St., Griels, owners.
Siding. Commissioners reviewed properties and costs of artificial sidings, and reviewed the
policies and guidelines of other HPCs across the country. Commissioners will provide their
comments to Bolder and Thorsen for drafting a specific artificial siding policy to be adopted at a
later date.
Adjournment. Motion by Simacek, second by Seimens to adjourn; motion carried.
