Minutes of the Meeting of January 15, 2002
I. Quorum: Thorsen, Langenfeld, Godersmd, Sovik-Siemens, Warg presem.
II. Minutes of December 18, 2001: Motion by Gderstad, second by Langenfeld to approve;
motion carried.
IlL Review of building permitsor design proposals
John Fasbender.. 202 W. 7~. Window replacemem. Motion by Langenfeld, second by
Goderstad to approve replacement of like with like. Motion carried, 5-0.
Mark & Gall Borchardt, 706 Vermillion. The Borchardts live in the August Gardner house at
the comer of'/* and Vermilion. They are interested in adding on, remodeling and replacing
some missing or changed portionso£the house. They provided a sketch and discussed their plans
with commission. They will return as plans are developed.
IV. New business
A. Interview applicanh Fmn~is-LaBr~ek~ A~er interview, motion by Goderstad,
second by Warg to reconmtend Mr. LaBreck to council for appointment.
B. Elections. Motion. by.God~rstad.second, by Sovik-$iemens.to nominate Warg fQr
Chair. There being no other nominations, Warg elected, 5-0. Motion by Sovik Siemens, second
by Thorsen to nominate Langenfetd-V'me-chair. There being no other nominations, Langenfeld
elected, 5-0.
C. Recognition of DickT-homm~ As-this-was Mr; Thorsen~s last meeting, the
commission presented him a plaque thank'mg him for 10 years of service, including serving as
Chairman.
