Minutes of the Meeting of August 19, 2003
I. Quorum: Boler, LaBreck, Hellie, Sovik-Siemens, Simacek, Martin, Goderstad; staff:
Grossman; owners: Most.
II. Minutes of July 15, 2003: Motion by Goderstad to approve with amendmem to 222 5th St.
E., second by Martin; motion carried.
IlL Review of building permits or design proposals
222 W. 7th' Laura Most. The commissioners discussed the proposed addition on the back of the
house and provided the owner with a number of key issues and guidelines to observe when
designing the addition, including roof shape and pitch, window size and appearance, and stucco
matching the existing. The addition will be on the back of the house and replace an existing
attached garage. Ms. Most will have drawings prepared for HPC approval.
IV. Business
Preservation Conference. Commissioner LaBreck is able attend annual training in New Ulm for
Certified Local Governments. Commissioner Hel/ie wi/1 let staff know.
Nominations. Commissioners Boler, Sovik-Siemens and Martin will begin a nomination process
for two or three properties where the owners approve of designation.
VI. Adjournment. Motion by Goderstad, second by Simacek to adjourn; motion carried.
