I. Quorum: Commissioners Warg, Simacek, Sovik-Siemens, LaBreck, Goderstad, Craft, Boler,
Martin. Meeting called to order by the Chair at 7 p.m.
II. Minutes of January 21, 2002: Motion by Boler, second by Goderstad to approve; motion
carried..
III. Review of building permits or design proposals: no applications.
IV. Business
A. Planning for 2003 activities: Sovik-Siemens, Boler and Martin will make plans for
preservation awards. An education and Pioneer Room open house to be considered
for Preservation Week.
B. Original Town Plan and Design Guidelines. Recommended more emphasis on
preserving streetscape, trees, sidewalks and width of roadway.
C. Budget issues. Motion by Goderstad, second by Boler to approve budget cuts
proposed by staffto meet City's 5% budget reduction.
V. Reports
A. LeDuc House - City, Minnesota Historical Society and Dakota Comity Historical
Society making progress toward and agreement by March 31st.
B. Riverside interpretive panels - an open house on draft panels will be held February 24
at 6 p.m.
C. Amy Martin was appointed by City Council as an HPC commissioner and was
welcomed by the members.
VI. Adjournment. Motion by Goderstad, second by Simacek to adjourn. Motion carried.
