The following bids were received on July 23ra: BIDDER BID Atcon $85,850 Champion Coatings, Inc. $98,350 TMI Coatings, Inc. $ii9,8oo Classic Protective Coatings, Inc. $i75,~o0 The 2009 Water Fund budget included $300,000 for this project, which anticipated removal of the existing paint down to bare metal. As part of the design for this painting project, extensive testing was completed on the existing paint, which revealed good adhesion. These test results allow the new paint to be applied over the existing paint without concern for a reduction in service time. A number of areas on the tanks interior and exterior surfaces will require spot paint repair prior to application of the new paint. A color copy of the tank color scheme is enclosed with this memo on the City's web page with the other Council packet items.
