The estimated construction cost for this project was $185,000 and the original capital budget for this project was $200,000. A listing of the bids received is below. Bidder Bid Minger Construction, Inc. $160,506.25 Northdale Construction Co., Inc. $169,287.60 Pember Companies, Inc. $172,537.50 Geislinger & Sons, Inc. $189,200.00 Ryan Contracting Co. $192,760.00 A reference check was performed and the proposal review was performed on the bid received from Minger Construction, Inc., and found to be acceptable. Staff Recommendation Staff is recommending that the Council approve the attached resolution awarding the contract for this project to Minger Construction. CITY OF HASTINGS DC,M AKOTA OUNTY INNESOTA Resolution No. RRBAC ESOLUTION ECEIVING IDS AND WARDING ONTRACT FOR P2009-5,EHLSI ROJECT AST ASTINGS IFT TATION MPROVEMENTS WHEREAS , pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Project 2009-5, the East Hastings Lift Station Improvements, bids were opened on July 24, 2009 and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received: Bidder Bid Minger Construction, Inc.$160,506.25 Northdale Construction Co., Inc.$169,287.60 Pember Companies, Inc.$172,537.50 Geislinger & Sons, Inc.$189,200.00 Ryan Contracting Co.$192,760.00 WHEREAS , Minger Construction, Inc. is the lowest bidder, and WHEREAS , Minger Construction, Inc. has been determined to be qualified for the contract. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HASTINGS AS FOLLOWS; 1. The Clerk and Mayor are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Minger Construction, Inc. in the amount of $160,506.25 for Project 2009-5, the East Hastings Lift Station Improvements. rd ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HASTINGS, MINNESOTA, THIS 3 DAY OF AUGUST, 2009.
