What Happens Next:
On September 8, 2009, the City Council approved the preliminary levy and budget for 2010, which is
certified to the County on September 15 th. These numbers are then used to compute the truth and
taxation notices that are mailed to every parcel in November.
The Finance Committee of the City Council will continue to hold meetings to review the proposed budget
and to refine the tax levy, which can only go down from the preliminary amount.
The City Council will hold a budget hearing at the December 7, 2009, council meeting at 7:00pm. Then
the final budget will be approved at the following council meeting on December 21, 2009, at 7:00pm.

As snowmobilers are itching to get their sleds out for another season of
playing in the powder, we’d like to remind all operators that snowmobiles
are only permitted to operate within the City limits while traveling from
home to outside the city limits. Stopping is only permitted within the
Service District. Also remember that heading out of town, snowmobiles
must follow the snowmobile corridors outlined on the “snowmobile map,”
