Also, in color are the proposed/ redrawing of wards by the committee. The changes will occur in Wards 1 -3 -4, with no changes in Ward 2. Enclosed is a detail of ward count which shows the starting census count for each ward, and then the shifting of population between the three mentioned wards. This will give you a chance to review the proposal for meeting on Thursday, October 10, 1991. Moynihan DATE: October 30, 1991 SUBJECT: Redrawing of Ward Boundaries r On October 10, 1991, the Charter Commission met in a regular meeting and approved the redrawing of the ward boundaries as recommended by their subcommittee. A map showing the new boundaries as well a verbal description of the boundaries is attached to this Memorandum. State law provides that a city cannot - redistrict before the Legislature is redistricted. The-Minnesota Legislature has not completed redistricting itself. Therefore, pursuant to the motion. of the Charter and Minnesota Statutes, these new ward - boundaries- not become effective_ until the State primary election on September 15, 1992.
