II. INFORMATION AND REPORTS
1) Second Presentation of Block 2 condominiums - N at Shea, Tanek
Architecture - Abdo Group.
/-
First review was done on November 3. This review focused on the revised
elevation of the north condominium. The site plan and elevation of the south
condominium facing Second Street were not changed.
The building is still very long and over 47 feet tall. Shea responded that the
building would not be taller than the Fitch Building as seen from Second Street,
but is taller when viewed from the river because the land slopes toward the river.
It consists of four residential floors and underground parking, about half of
which will be above grade. The ground floor units have their own front doors, a
half story up from the esplanade level. The fa~ade is broken into seven
segments, each of slightly different style to break up the horizontal mass of the
building.
The elevation shows the building as if seen from the esplanade grade; viewers in
the park or on the river will be looking up the building from a lower level.
Would like to see a little more variety at the cornice line, perhaps one or two of
the segments could have a peak.
Would like to see more brick, smaller windows on the 3rd and 4th segments from
the east.

Would like to see a variety of colors used in the fa~ade to emphasize the
segments.
