QUORUM: Commissioners Present: Boler, Sovik-Siemens, Goderstad, Martin, Helle Commissioners Absent: Warg, Simacek, LaBreck Staff Present: Grossman, Wiekert ll. REVIEW OF BUILDING PERMITS OR DESIGN PROPOSALS (1) 717 Eddy Street - St. John's Lutheran Church - Siding Replacement. Commissioner Boler briefly summarized and updated the Commissioners on the siding replacement for S1. John's Lutheran Church. She identified some contractors that had smooth siding for the area. Commissioners offered the church chairman and contractor the options that were presented at the May meeting. ,..- Carrol Tammen, the chairman of the St. John's Church, stated that the congregation had met at the parish at a meeting earlier this year and they had agreed with steel metal siding with the intent it would be smooth. They did not agree to replace the siding with vinyl or hardiplank. The church was concerned with the price of the siding and wanted something that was maintenance free and durable. There was concern on the durability of the smooth siding. The contractor, Dave Buck, stated that the smooth siding is not the most durable for the money the church is paying and felt the siding sample is the best durable siding available. Commissioners still felt that since there was smooth siding available that it was more appropriate for the church. Motion by Martin and seconded by Hellie to deny the siding sample with the wood grain as presented by the contractor. Motioned carried. Commissioners and the contractor agreed to hold a special meeting on August 9th at 6:30pm to see new siding sample from the contractor. Adiournment With no further business, Goderstad moved and Martin seconded to close the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:00 pm. Respectfully submitted, /- Courtney Wiekert Recording Secretary
