The Ci ty COlmcil of the City of Has tings, Minnesota met in an
adjourned regular meeting on ThuTsday, October 9, 1975 at 7:00 o'clock
P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.

Members present:
Councilmen Kramer, Erickson, Latch, Elliott,
Schnirring, Hallberg, Fischer and ~~yor
Petersen.
Members absent:
Councilman Novak.
The Mayor opened the meeting stating that this meeting was a
continuation of the regular Council meeting of October 6, 1975 and the
purpose of this meeting was to address ourselves to the final Budget
procedure for the 1976 Budget.
Moved by Councilman Schnirring, seconded by Councilman AUTHORIZE LEVY FOR
Fischer to authorize the City to levy $33,333.50 for the purpose of PARK IMPO\~ENTS
being a local match for a Federal grant application which the City
has submitted for park improvements in the old Mill Park. It is
understood that this levy is levy exempt under the levy limit law
y;hich the City is currently operating under. Ayes, 7; Nayes, none.
Councilman Hallberg introduced the follm\ing resolution

CERTIFY TO AUDITOR
111is is to certify that there is now on hand sufficient
funds for the 1976 principal and interest on the following bonds
and that the County Auditor is directed to reduce the levy for
t]1ese funds by the following amounts, pursuant to 1\1inJlesota
Statutes 1949, Section 495.61 through Spction 475.63, as amended.

NOW, TI-IEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Hastings, Minnesota:
That the City Clerk is hereby directed to set the budget
for the year 1976 at the sum of $1,534,374 and that he directs the
Dakota County and Washington County Auditors that the sum of
$784,084 be levied upon taxable property within the limits of the
City of Hastings, Minnesota.
