JOINT COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON JULY 23, 1974
AT 8:00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Councilmen present:
Councilmen Schnirring, Kramer, O'Connor,
Hallberg and Mayor Petersen.

Councilmen absent:
Councilmen Collins, Driscoll, Fischer,
and Novak.
Also present were Mr. Ian Ball of the Metro Council Staff and
Mr. Kaible of the Minnesota Municipal Commission.
Mr. Kaible explained to both the Council and the Planni~g
Commission the various methods provided for under the law for the ad-
justment of municipal boundaries and annexation procedures. He also
presented to the group a copy of the Minnesota Municipal Commissions's
1974 Annual Report.
After a question and answer period the Council instructed the
staff to prepare a report on just what annexation means in terms of the
City's over all land use plans, capacity of existing utilities and
ability to extend these services and other goals or objectives that the
City should consider in annexation.
The meeting adjourned at 9:48 P.M.
