Members present: Councilman Sharmon, Trautmann, Fischer, Erickson, Trutna, Novak, Karnick, Collins, and t4ayor Petersen. r-- Members absent: None. There were no corrections or addi tions to the minutes of the meeting of December 19, 1977 so were approved as read. The Mayor opened the Public Hearing on the rezoning of PUBLIC HEARING REZONE property belongint to Alois Conzemius located in the ~ of CONZFMIUS PROPERTI Section 29, Twp. 115N, Range l7W, at 7:30 P.M. The Administrator read into the record the legal notices of the Hearing. No one appeared in opposition to the rezoning. The IvJayor closed the Hearing at 7:40 P.M. Moved by Councilman Erickson, seconded by Councilman Fischer to pass the third and final reading of the amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to rezone the property legally described as the South 195 ft of the North 513 ft. of the East 183 ft. as measured at right angles, of the NE~ of the ~ of Section 29, Twp. 115 N, Range 17 W, Dakota County. That portion that is presently zoned P-I and the remainder which is presently zoned Agri. be rezoned to an R-2 Zoning District. The City Administrator read the legal notices of the Hearing. The Hearing had been properly called. There were no comments regarding the amendment. The Mayor closed the Hearing at 7:50 P.M. RESOLUTION #139-77 MN/OOT TEaINICAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT RESOLUTION #140-77 MN/OOT AGENCY AGREEMENT Councilman Shannon introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION #142-77 and moved its adoption: RESOLUfION OF 1HE CIIT COUNCIL OF 1HE CIIT OF HASTINGS REGARDING CERTAIN STATE OWNED LANDS WHEREAS, it appears that certain lands now owned by the State of Minnesota heretofore used by the State of Minnesota in- cident to its operation of the Hastings State Hospital, located in Hastings, Minnesota are no longer needed for state purposes, have been declared excess lands by the State of Minnesota, and will be available for sale by the State of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, it appears that in 1899 said lands, and other lands were acquired by the State of f',tinnesota with funds provided by the City of Hastings; and WHEREAS, the City of Hastings has use for said lands at this time and desires to acquire same: NOW, TIfEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City of Hastings hereby advises the State of Minnesota that the City of Hastings is interested in acquiring any lands now or hereafter available which lands were heretofore used by the State of Minnesota incident to its operation of the Hastings State Hospital. 205 RESOLUTION #142-77 2. That as the lands were originally acquired by the State of Minnesota with funds provided by the City of Hastings, the City of Hastings deems it appropriate that the State of Minnesota consider cenveying said lands to the City of Hastings without consideration, or in the alternative for nominal con- sideration. 3. That the City Council request the appropriate State of Minnesota authorities to advise the City of Hastings of any proposed transactions involving any of said lands. 4.
