Al Sieben, members of the Marshan Township Board and Marshan
residents were in attendance to discuss the problems of serving
Sieben's 2nd Addition with utilities. Al Sieben said he was
unable to get signatures from the Marshan residents on the East
side of Leroy Avenue asking for annexation to the City. The City
Attorney stated the City could defer the assessment to the Marshan
residents until they are annexed into the City but that the interest
costs for deferring assessment may make the cost of the improvement
more than what the City could prove benefit to the property. Councilman
Trautmann then asked the Marshan Township Board Members if Marshan
Township would pay one half of the interest cost for deferring
the assessment.

question. Mr. Roger Fox, Board Chariman stated that Marshan
Township would agree to pay $4,000 towards the interest.
