The naeeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Sro[fei.
Members present: Chairman Stol[el, Fischer, Walker, Linde, I.atch,
and Trautmam~ and Glermie
The ]public Hearing was called to order at 7:30 p.M.
by Chairn~an Stol[el. The Planning Director read into
the n~lnutcs thc notice of public hearing, th~'af[adivit
of publ[calion and the certificak[on of nxailing. Mr.
Freed, owner of the property south of the Hastings Co-
Op Crean~ery expressed concern that the new Polka-
Dot Dairy Building would create a drainage problem on
his property and the proposed addition of the Creanxcry
would intensify this problen~. The ]planning Director
explained to the ]Planning Comnxission that the Engineer
had inspected the Creamery proposal and thc addition
proposed would not be increasing the percentage of
impermeable area on the Co-Op Creamery property.
The existing storm water runoff problems on l?th and
Vernxillion should not be significant ly effected by the proposed
addition. After ali people present were afforded an
opportunity to be heard the public hearing was closed
at 7:4l P. M.

Moved by Commissioner Latch, seconded by CoiT~rnissioner
Linde to approve the special use permit with the following
conditions:
1. Any mechanical equipment on top of the new
structure must be screened.
2. The blacktop area north of the new structure
must maintain a lO foot setback [roux the
property line although landscaping will not be
required in this area until street improvements
are completed on [7th Street.
3. Sod and landscaping should be provided along
the east property line adjacent to the proposed
parking lot.
The Public Hearing was called to order at 7:45 P.M.
by Chairman Stol[el. The Planning Director indicated
the Public Hearing had been duly called by referring
to the notice of public hearing, the affadivit of
publication and the certificate of mailing. After ail '
people present were afforded an opportunity to be
heard regarding a special use permit request for a
automobile repair shop, the public hearing was
closed at 7:48 P.M.

use permit for Mr. Vernon McKay at 1309
Vermillion Street.

Moved by Gonm~nissioner Fischer, seconded by
Corrm~issioner Linde to adjourn at 7:50 P.M.
