The meeting was called to order by Chairrraan Stoffei at 7:30 P.M.
Members present: Chairman Stoffel, Glennie, Latch, Trautmarm, Stark,
and Walker, Linde entered at 8:07 P.M.
Members absent: Kramer, Fischer
Moved by Commissioner Latch, seconded by
Commissioner Stark to approve the minutes of the
September 8, 1975 Planning Commission meeting.
Six ayes, zero nays.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Planning Director explained that the Public
Hearing had been inadvertently called for Tuesday,
September g3rd as opposed to September 2Znd and
therefore the Planning Commission would have to
reconvene the following evening to hold the legal
Public Hearing.

The Planning Director again explained that the
Planning Commission would have to reconvene
on the following evening to hold the legally
scheduled Public Hearing for a special use pernait
requested by Mr. Vernon Mci<ay.

A plat had been filed by the petitioners in April,
however, this plat did not reflect the total property
which was purchased by the Sisters of Charity.
A plat is now being filed which reflects the total
purchase which will in fact nullify the plat which was
approved in April of 1975.

The preliS'inary plat was referred to the Stoffel
Committee for further consideration. Moved by
Commissioner Walker, seconded by Comn~issioner
Stark to schedule a Public Hearing for ~he Sisters
of Charity prelinainary plat at the next regularly
scheduled ~neeting. Six ayes, zero nays.
The Planning Director reviewed with the Planning
Conwnission plans to construct an approxinnately
5000 square foot addition to the W.W. Beverage
war*:house. The proposed addition conforn2s to
ali zoning requirenn< uts.

Moved by Commissioner Latch, seconded by
Commissioner Glennie to approve the proposed
site plan for the 5000 square foot additiom subject
to the petitioner planting sod in all designated yard
areas and the petitioner painting the building
within two years after its completion. Six ayes,
zero nays.
Mr. Leonard Bauer submitted an application for
a special use permit to allow the construction of
five four plexes on 22nd and 23rd Street South.
Mrs. James McCoy submitted a petition expressing
the objection of the surrounding property owners to
the granting of a special use permit. Mrs. McCoy
also claimed that the portion of the area proposed for
the development was flooded in 1965.
The Planning Director reviewed the recommendation
submitted by the Engineer which indicated that there
was the need for storm sewers in this area which
would be constructed at the tinae street irnpr~ve~ents
~e re nnade, however, develop~ent of the proposed
property if drained as indicated on the plans should
present no problems to the surrounding property owners.
Moved by Comn~issioner Trautnaann, seconded by
Comtnissioner Walker to approve the special use permit
for five four plexes. Seven ayes, zero nays.
Moved by Commiss[oner Trautmann, seconded by
Commissioner Walker to amend a motion by adding
the nine conditions listed on the staff memo ~ated
Augns~ 8th, 1975. Seven ayes, zero nays.

Con, missioner ~,Valker to reschedule the next
Planning Corn~n~ssion ~neeting for October 14th,
1975 because October 13th is a legal holiday. Five
