The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Chai. rman Stof£el.
Members present: Chairman Stoffe[, Walker, Fischer, Linde, Latch, Glennie
and Kramer
Members absent: Trautmarm and Stark
Student members present: Stoneberg and Humbert
Moved by Commissioner Linde, seconded by Commissioner
Fischer to approve the minutes of August 25, 1975. 7 Ayes-
0 Nayes.

Moved by Commissioner Fischer seconded by Commissioner
Glennie to approve the minutes of August 27, 1975. 7 Ayes -
0 Nayes.
Commissioner Fischor submitted the recommendation of the
Committee regarding the Hastings Co-op Creamery request
for a special use permit. The committee report requested
that the City Staff insure that the final construction design
and specifications do not intensify an~ already critical drainage
problem in the 17th and Vermillion intersection area. In
addition the committee report suggested that the landscaping
plans for the creamery and the Polka Dot building be reviewed
and modified as necessary to make them compatible to one
another.

Moved by Commissioner Kramer, seconded by Commissioner
Fischer to schedule a public hearing for September 22, 1975 at
7:30 P.M. 7 Ayes - 0 Nayes.
Moved by Commissioner Kramer, seconded by Con, missioner
Fischer to table further action on the request for a special use
permit by the Hastings Co-op .Creanqery until the public hearing
of September ZZ, 1975 and until additional input is available regarding
the drainage in the 17th and Vermillion Street area. 7 Ayes - 0 Nayes.
Profile Extrusions Company has sk~bnaitted plans to add onto
their existing facility and thereby expanding their
manufacturing capacity. The Planning Director indicated
that the proposal met all zoning code requirements except
the drawings indicated that the employee parking lot would
not be paved at the present time. The Planning Director
suggested that as long as the petitioner provide enough area
for additional parking, there really was no need for them to
pave more than what would be used for parking at the present
tinne,

In addtion the site does not have City sewer available, but due to the
fact that the Cap[tM Improvements [Program has East 10th Street
listed for 1977, the Staff felt
that it was not necessary for the Profile Extrusions Company to hook
up to the City sewer at this time.
Moved by Commissioner Kramer, seconded by Commissioner
Linde to approve the plan dated August 29 1975 with the following
conditions: '
That a blacktopped parking area be provided for a minimum of
45 stalls to be completed in 1976 with a letter of intent indicating
that Profile Extrusions will add onto their facility as the need
dictates.
2. A letter from Profile Extrusions indicating that they will hook
up to City sewer as soon as it becomes available.
3. A culvert wit1 be provided under the driveway which enters
Progress Drive along the east property ~ine. 7 Ayes - 0 Nayes.
Mr. Vernon McKay has submitted an application to use
the garage at the rear of the Hast[rigs Auto Supply building
for an automobile repair shop.

This item was referred to the Kramer Committee.
Moved by Gonamissioner Kramer seconded by Commissioner STREET RENAMING
Linde to approve the committee recommendation for the following
streets:
1. That the street north of 14th Street be changed to Blueberry
Lane.
Z. That the cul-de-sac east of Pleasant Drive be changed to
Blueberry Court.
That the streetSouth of 14th Street be changed to Rosemary
Lane.
4. That the cul-de-sac east of 14th Street be changed to
Rosemary Court. 7 Ayes - 0 Nayes.
Moved by Commissioner Latch, seconded bf Commissioner
Kramer to take the Bauer request for a special use permit
involving five fourplexes off the table. 7 Ayes - 0 Nayes.
