He discussed plans
for a wagon train from Cannon Falls to St. Paul. One of his desired stops
would be in Hastings.

This event is planned for May 7-May 9th, 2008. I have enclosed details of
what involvement this state sesquicentennial event is seeking from the City. I
have recently contacted parties within the City investigating the possibilities of
the requests (police, Fire and Public Works). The overnight camping location
of this proposal is to be situated on the Hastings River Flat (J.C Park) property.

If this proposal is accepted, I am seeking a variance in City ordnance to allow
for this event to camp overnight in a park.

The NRRC approved this event in concept at their last meeting.

REF: Cily Cuuucill WlIgUU win 1 2007
