<br />City of Hastings <br />City Council Minutes <br /> <br />August 6, 2007 <br />Page 2 013 <br /> <br />Award Bid-City Ban Stone Step Repair <br />City Administrator Osberg requested that bid be awarded to A&M Construction in the <br />amount of $60,800. <br />Moved by Councilmember Slavik, seconded by Councilmember Riveness to award the <br />contract as presented. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Donation from Hastings Rotary <br />The Hastings Rotary was present to give a check to the City in the amount of$I,040 to <br />be used for trailhead markers. The Council accepted the gift and thanked the Hastings Rotary. <br /> <br />Public Hearing-Downtown Quiet Zone Improvements <br />Mayor Hicks opened the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. <br />Mayor Hicks suggested that the action be tabled until the August 20, 2007 meeting <br />when the full Council would be present to address the issue. <br />Bess Freeman, 522 Lea Street, stated support for the quiet zone. <br />Lee Erickson, 613 East 2nd Street, stated SUpport for the quiet zone. <br />Hearing no further comments, Mayor Hicks closed the public hearing at 7:19 p.m. <br /> <br />Resolution-Order Downtown Quiet Zone Improvements <br />Moved by Councilmember Slavik, seconded by Councilmember Hazlet to table this <br />issue to the August 20, 2007 Council meeting. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Public Hearing-Host Approval for Issuance of Revenue Bonds: Regina Medical Center <br />Mayor Hicks opened the public hearing at 7:20 p.m. <br />Hearing no comments, Mayor Hicks closed the public hearing at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Resolution-Host Approval for Issuance of Revenue Bonds: Regina Medical Center <br />Moved by Councilmember Hazlet, seconded by Councilmember Slavik to approve the <br />resolution as presented. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Public Hearing-Ordinance Amendment: Adoption ofMN State Fire Code <br />Mayor Hicks opened the public hearing at 7:21 p.m. <br />Hearing no comments, Mayor Hicks closed the public hearing at 7:21 p.m. <br /> <br />Ordinance Amendment-Ordinance Amendment: Adoption ofMN State Fire Code <br />Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Schultz to approve <br />the ordinance amendment as proposed. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> <br />Public Hearing-Ordinance Amendment: Adoption of MN State Building Code <br />Mayor Hicks opened the public hearing at 7:24 p.m. <br />Hearing no comments, Mayor Hicks closed the public hearing at 7:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Ordinance Amendment-Ordinance Amendment: Adoption of MN State Building Code <br />Moved by Councilmember Schultz, seconded by Councilmember Hollenbeck to <br />approve the ordinance amendment as proposed. <br />6 Ayes; Nays, none. <br />
