<br />Engineering <br />480-2334 <br /> <br /> <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />Streets <br />480-6187 <br />, <br /> <br />Utilities <br />480-6185 <br /> <br />2003 Street & Utility Construction Projects <br /> <br />The Hastings Engineering Department is working on <br />preliminary plans and cost estimates for street and <br />utility construction proposed for this year. The projects <br />include: <br /> <br />Project 2003-2-Riverwood 7'h Addition: Street <br />and utility construction that will include extensions of <br />both Riverwood Drive and Village Trail as well as four <br />new streets serving the Riverwood 7'h Addition off of <br />CSAH 46. <br /> <br />Project 2003-3-South Oaks: Street and utility <br />construction that will include extensions of 31" <br />Street, Bohlken Drive, and Century Drive, serving the <br />South Oaks Addition located west of Cannon Street <br />and south of the Century South development. <br /> <br />Project 2003-4-36'h Street: Extension of 36'h <br />Street west from the Century South development to <br />connect to Riverwood Drive and Village Trail in the <br />Riverwood development. <br /> <br />Project 2003-5-3151 Street: Extension of 31" <br />Street from the South Oaks development through the <br />Riverwood development, providing a connection from <br />Cannon Street to CSAH 46. <br /> <br />Project 2003-6-General Sieben Drive <br />Extension: Connecting General Sieben Drive from <br />its existing southern end at Carleton Drive with <br />CSAH 46. <br /> <br />Other smaller, miscellaneous construction projects <br />proposed for construction in 2003 include: <br /> <br />Construction of a bituminous trail underpass at the Highway <br />61 Vermillion River bridge. <br />Paving the Skateboard Park parking lot & replacing the Arena fire <br />access road around the east end of the Arena. <br />Rebuilding the southeast corner of the 10'" Street & Highway 61 <br />intersection to provide more room for northbound <br />Highway 61 trucks to turn east onto 10'" Street. <br /> <br />Keep Snowmobiling Fun S <br />for Everyone--Follow the <br />Rules! <br /> <br />The following are some reminders you should keep in <br /> <br />mind if you are snowmobiling this year. If <br />a resident has a snowmobile complaint, <br />they may contact the Hastings police. <br />Department at 651-480-2300, who will <br />then attempt to handle the complaint at <br />the time, as well as report a continued <br />problem or violation to the Hastings <br />Snowmobile Club for their folloW-uP and <br /> <br />monitoring. <br />
