Engineering 480-2334 Public Works Department Streets 480-6187 , Utilities 480-6185 2003 Street & Utility Construction Projects The Hastings Engineering Department is working on preliminary plans and cost estimates for street and utility construction proposed for this year. The projects include: Project 2003-2-Riverwood 7'h Addition: Street and utility construction that will include extensions of both Riverwood Drive and Village Trail as well as four new streets serving the Riverwood 7'h Addition off of CSAH 46. Project 2003-3-South Oaks: Street and utility construction that will include extensions of 31" Street, Bohlken Drive, and Century Drive, serving the South Oaks Addition located west of Cannon Street and south of the Century South development. Project 2003-4-36'h Street: Extension of 36'h Street west from the Century South development to connect to Riverwood Drive and Village Trail in the Riverwood development. Project 2003-5-3151 Street: Extension of 31" Street from the South Oaks development through the Riverwood development, providing a connection from Cannon Street to CSAH 46. Project 2003-6-General Sieben Drive Extension: Connecting General Sieben Drive from its existing southern end at Carleton Drive with CSAH 46. Other smaller, miscellaneous construction projects proposed for construction in 2003 include: Construction of a bituminous trail underpass at the Highway 61 Vermillion River bridge. Paving the Skateboard Park parking lot & replacing the Arena fire access road around the east end of the Arena. Rebuilding the southeast corner of the 10'" Street & Highway 61 intersection to provide more room for northbound Highway 61 trucks to turn east onto 10'" Street.
