The Mayor asked if anyone wished to IMPROVEMENT speak on the issue, no one wished to do so. The Mayor closed the PROJECTS public hearing at 7.49 p.m. Moved by Councilmember Hicks, seconded by Councibmember RESOLUTION Simac 1 to adopt Resolution No. 22 -94 ordering the improvements and NO. -94 preparation of fmal plans and specifications for improvements of PROJECT NO. 1994 -1 pedestrian ramps and municipal state aid streets, Project 19944 7 Ayes; Nays, None. Mayor Werner opened the Public Hearing at 1994 -2 7:49 p.m. to consider these improvements. The Mayor asked if anyone IMPROVEMENT wished to spear on the issue, and Dennis Christianson of 1498 Pringle PROJECTS Court expressed concern on the assessments on 4 parcels on Pringle Court. He asked that special consideration be given in assessing these, due to the high cost of the project and also to not fully benef ittin.g from' this improvement. Mayor Werner asked if anyone else wished to spear on the issue, no one wished to do so. The Mayor closed the pudic hearing at 7:51 p.m. Moved by Councilmember Johnson, seconded by Council- RESOLUTION member Simacel to adopt Resolution 23-94 ordering the improvement NO. 23 -94 and preparation of final plans and specifications for improvements of PROJECT N . 1994-2 15th Street and General Sieben Drive, Project 1994 - . Moved by Councilmember Trautma n, seconded by Councilmember Hick to amend the motion directing Staff to review these 4 parcels in Parxnle Court for possible special consideration on the assessment of these properties prior to the assessment hearing, due to the unusual circumstances. 7 Ayes; Nays, None. The Mayor asked if anyone wished to speak on the issue and some concerns were ad dressed from the audience. One was a concern on the drainage at the corner of 5th & vermillion, Which the City Engineer responded to. A. question arose regarding the possibility of monies available for lowering of assessments. Public Work Director Montgomery stated there will be approximately $150,000 available particularly for low and moderate income families.
