<br />Chapter 16 - Shoreland Ordinance <br />Draft No. 7 - City Council 2nd Reading - April 4, 2005 <br />Page 11 of 38 <br /> <br />SECTION 16.04 - SHORELAND CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM AND> Li\ND USE <br />DISTRICTS <br /> <br />Subd.1 Shoreland Classification System <br /> <br />1.1 The public waters of Hastings have been classified below consistent with the <br />criteria found in Minnesota Regulations, Part 6120.3300, and the Protected Waters <br />Inventory Map for Dakota and Washington County, Minnesota. Pursuant to Minnesota <br />Rules. Chapters 6120.2500 - 6120.3900 no lake. pond or flowaqe less than ten (10) <br />acres in size need be requlated by this ordinance but shall be subiect to the <br />requirements of Chapter 15 (Stormwater Manaqement) of the Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br />The shoreland classification are:::I for the waterbodies listed in sections 1.12 and 1.13 <br />arc defined in section 2.7 and :::IS shm\'n on the Official Zoning Map. In the City of <br />Hastinqs are as follows: <br /> <br />1.2 Lakes <br /> <br />a) Natural Environment Lake - Lake Rebecca <br /> <br />b) Recreational Development Lake - Lake Isabell <br /> <br />1.3 Rivers and Streams <br /> <br />a). Transition Rivers - Mississippi and Vermillion Rivers <br /> <br />b). Tributary Streams - Sand Coulee Flowage * <br /> <br />* All protected watercourses in the City of Hastings not given a classification in <br />Item "a" above shall be considered "Tributary". <br /> <br />Subd.2. <br /> <br />Land Use District Descriptions <br /> <br />The land uses allowable for the Shoreland District shall follow the permitted. accessory <br />and special use desiqnations of the underlvinq zoninq district of the property contained <br />in Chapter 10 Land Use Requlations (Zoninq Ordinance). Chapter 13 Floodplain <br />Requlations. and Chapter 19 Mississippi River Corridor Area Ordinance except that <br />aqricultural feedlots shall not be permitted in any district. In the event there is a conflict <br />between the requlations of these ordinances. the most restrictive ordinance shall apply. <br /> <br />2.1 Criteri:::l For Designation.
