<br />The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a
<br />regular meeting on Monday, September 20, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
<br />Chambers of City Hall.

<br />Members Present: Councilmen Legler, Kulzer, Trautmann, Pike,
<br />Karnick, Trutna, Klimek, Bond, and Mayor Stoffel.

<br />The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of
<br />the meeting of September 7, 1982 and the minutes of the Special Meeting for
<br />Canvassing of Primary Elections September 15, 1982 and hearing none declared
<br />the minutes approved as presented.

<br />Kulzer to approve the request by .St. Boniface Church to
<br />place signs at the following locations for their Fall Festival:

<br />man Bond to approve the second reading of the CAble Television
<br />Franchise Ordinance with the change b~ing noted on page 26
<br />the first paragraph, the fifth line shall read "in the event
<br />that the Hastings Senior High School site should not be avail-
<br />able, the studio described above shall be located at a site
<br />agreeable to the City of Hastings and the Hastings Cable
<br />Television Company." Ayes, 8; Nayes, None.

<br />Moved by Councilman Pike, seconded by Councilman
<br />Bond to table the Fire Department Relief Association Pension
<br />increase request. Ayes, Pike, Klimek, Bond; Nayes, Legler,
<br />Kulzer, Trautmann, Karnick, and Trutna. Motion to table
<br />fails.
<br />Moved by Councilman Trutna, seconded by Councilman
<br />Legler to approve the Hastings Fire Department Relief
<br />Association Request increase in pension benefits from $1,200
<br />per year to $1,400 per year per fireman. $7,200 will be
<br />appropriated in the 1983 Fire Department Relief Association
<br />Budget. Ayes, 6; Nayes, Pike and Bond.

<br />Legler to hire Gary Kramer to do the 1982 audit for the City
<br />of Hastings for a fee of $9,200. Ayes, 8; Nayes, None.
